I think many of us, even the most die-hard, die-hard baseball fans, can attest to this. For me, it’s even more extreme. I love my baseball games (as you might as well) and have spent many an afternoon and evening on Xbox Live playing baseball games. It’s one of those things that I can’t help but to play on Xbox games that don’t require me to even open the thing.
If you’re a die-hard baseball fan, you might find this statement a little strange because you’d probably be pretty happy to play baseball on a television with a little more power. But if you’re a die-hard football fan, you might find it quite a bit more disturbing. Football fans might say this was all for the children, but let’s face it, most of us are at least somewhat grown up enough to know that a game like this would be a bit much.
Actually, baseball players are quite used to having a lot of power. So I don’t think this statement is all that disturbing. But it is kind of strange because it’s a game that requires a little more input than most of the games out there.
The new game is called Football Simulator 2011, and it’s a simulation of the NFL. The game takes place on a fictional field called a Field of Dreams, and the team(s) you select are given a variety of powers and abilities.
At first I thought this was a bad idea because I’m not sure why anyone would want to play a game where the AI is so good at doing all of the things you can do. But then I thought, “Wait, its just for fun. I’ll be playing with my friend.” Then I thought, “I might want to buy a season pass.
It’s not just for fun, it’s for training. The more you play, the better you’ll become. And once you master a few things, you can take those skills and apply them to real life. It’s not so much about being a great athlete. It’s about being a great baseball player.
Its called “baseball” and “baseball training” and “baseball skills.” I imagine the reason that is the phrase that comes to mind is there is a lot of competition. If you want to be the best, you will, and if you want to be the best at something, you will. Its like a game of skill where there is no skill involved, just effort. Most of the other phrases are just made up for marketing or advertising purposes.
Baseball is a sport that involves a lot of hard work. But we don’t spend enough time training. I have a friend who is the best at baseball, but she’s not really a great player. She works out, but she works out at the gym more than she works out at the field. If you want to be a great player, you have to spend a lot of time learning to play, and not just practicing the actual game.
We live in a society where we’re constantly bombarded with information. There’s a lot of it. While it’s useful to have a sense of perspective, we rarely have the luxury of it. And while we shouldn’t spend all our time trying to figure out what the media is telling us, we should be able to make critical decisions without the constant swirl of information in our brains.
Its actually quite simple to make a player more aware of what is going on around him, and to put into context what is happening with the rest of the world.
