I love video games. I get to play them with my friends, and I don’t just mean with friends in the same room. I mean, we do stuff, but there is no one else around for a game to take place in the same time zone. That time zone is the one you live in and your friends live closer to you. So, when we play games, we are all together. We have a sense of togetherness. I love video games.
That’s one of the reasons I love video games so much. It is like a shared consciousness. Each of us plays games with each other. I am not talking about the game where you are playing it, but rather the shared consciousness I experience when I play games together. It is a sense of understanding that games are not just about playing them, but about being together in a shared consciousness. Even when you are playing a game alone, you are together.
It is kind of like when you go to a restaurant where you will be together. You are not just sitting there and eating a meal, you are together. You are eating with a group of friends and that is good. But the real joy comes when you all find a way to get together to eat together. That is the feeling of a family.
When I think about games I think of a lot of family dinners. If you are the parent of a child, or a group of kids, you will probably be together for a game night when you sit down to play, or to read a book. Or perhaps just to sit in a quiet room and watch a movie together, or to just put your feet up and talk about something. A game is a game for everybody, but it is a game for your child and your family.

We don’t have to sit around and wait for our children to get bored with video games or to be bored by video games. We just need to find a game that we all like, and we all like it together. Games are a great way to find that “togetherness” too. There are millions of games that we can play together. We can play together in a group, or we can individually. We can play alone or with a friend.
