I think that a lot of people have a hard time accepting that color can also be fun. I have found that games of varying types, both physical and digital, are a quick way to get me out of my routine and into the game. I try to use the same games whether I’m at a party or just sitting around the house as a way to take my mind off my stress a bit and let myself have a little fun.
In general, games can make us more aware of ourselves and our surroundings (at least once we get addicted). But I think it’s also useful for exercise. When youre trying to exercise your brain, you don’t want to sit in a chair and read a book or do a lot of jumping up and down. You want to relax and get as much out of your body as possible. The best exercise is something that is a bit more fun than actually doing hard physical work. I think games like Cardfight! or Pokemon Trainer (and others) are great for this.
I think I would like to spend a little more time with a game like Pokemon Trainer, which I really enjoyed. I also really liked that game’s intro, where it just starts you off with a card in your hand and then leads you through its various challenges. I think most people just naturally come up with more ideas and get a little more excited about the game once they really get going.
